How do you disconnect and remove the throttle body, and how to reinstall it? Posted by Customer

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the engine cover(s). Loosen the air intake duct clamps, then remove the air intake duct and air filter housing. Disconnect the electrical connector from the throttle control motor. Clamp-off the coolant hoses leading to the throttle body. Clearly label, then detach, all vacuum and coolant hoses from the throttle body. Plug the coolant hoses to prevent coolant leakage. Caution: Make sure no coolant is allowed to drain into the intake manifold. Remove the throttle body mounting nuts/bolts. Detach the throttle body and gasket from the intake manifold. Installation of the throttle body is the reverse of removal. Use a new gasket between the throttle body and the intake manifold. Be sure to tighten the throttle body mounting bolts. Check the coolant level and add some if necessary to bring it to the appropriate level.
