For ignition switch removal, begin by disconnecting the battery's negative terminal cable and placing the ignition key in the ACC position. Proceed to remove the steering wheel and steering column covers. Then, take out the steering column switches and unplug the ignition switch wiring harness connectors. Detach the switch retaining screws and remove the switch assembly from the steering column. Installation involves reversing the removal process. To remove the Ignition Lock Assembly, depress the Ignition Lock Assembly retaining pin using a small screwdriver or punch, then pull the Ignition Lock Assembly straight out from the vehicle. To install the Ignition Lock Assembly, depress the retaining pin and guide the Ignition Lock Assembly into the steering column housing until the retaining pin locks into the locating hole.
