How to remove and install a Lexus ES300's trunk lid latch and trunk lock cylinder?

For trunk latch removal, scribe a reference line around the latch assembly. Detach the two retaining bolts and remove the latch. Remove the end of the latch release cable from the latch. When installing, reverse the removal process, using the reference line to aid installation.For trunk lock cylinder removal, open the trunk and remove screws and the trunk lid trim panel. Take out the trunk lock cylinder rod from its clip and remove the trunk lock cylinder mounting bolt. If applicable, disconnect the electrical connector from the lock. Twist the lock about 45 degrees and remove it from the trunk. To install, reverse the removal process.
