To remove the condenser, the refrigerant must first be discharged and the radiator upper mounts removed. On Solara models, the right-hand underhood electrical relay box must also be unbolted and set aside for clearance. The receiver/drier must then be removed, and the inlet and outlet fittings disconnected and capped to prevent moisture and dirt from entering the system. The mounting nuts can then be removed, and the condenser pushed back and pulled up and out of the vehicle. To install the condenser, the brackets and bolts must be properly aligned with the rubber cushions on the mounting points. The refrigerant lines must be reconnected with new O-rings, and the remaining parts reinstalled in reverse order. Finally, the system must be evacuated, charged, and leak tested.
