Next, unplug the cable from the negative battery terminal followed by the cable from the positive terminal. Remove the battery hold-down clamp and carefully lift it out. If you are changing the battery, make sure that the new one is equal to the last one with the dimensions, amperage rating, and cold cranking rating. Installation for the battery is the reverse of removal. Be sure to connect the positive cable first and the negative cable last.
