Take the connector out from the negative battery end. To remove the shifter bezel, use a trim stick to open the clips holding it in place, and disconnect the electrical connections from the back of the bezel. Then take off the shifter bezel. Pull off the trim covers in front of the console by undoing their holding bolts. Loosen the bolting screws, and unhook the rear part of the console by unscrewing it. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Removing the cable can be done by taking it from the negative terminal of the battery. With the help of an Allen wrench from the trim stick, turn the clips in the direction of 'release' to unlock the shifter bezel and remove it, and finally, detach the electrical connection connectors from the back of the shifter bezel. Remove the shifter bezel. Take off the trim covers which are found at the front of the console. Take off the screws that hold it in place, then un-bolt the rear half of the console from the car. Deinstallation is the process that is the opposite of installation. If not, pull the front seats to the rear as far as possible; it might be easier to do so if you are removing the entire floor center console. Pull the shift lever back side to release the clip and at the same time push the shifter boot collar down. Twist the shift lever knob in a clockwise manner then you will unscrew it from the shift lever. It is accessible by prying off the trim using a trim tool from the front sides of the console. Pop the inside corner trim panels towards the right from the front top side of the console. On 2017 and later models press the tabs on the trim piece that runs from right side of console up to the instrument panel around the radio air conditioning unit until the whole panel can be removed. Open the console corner trim panels that lie at the end of the console from the front to the rear end with the clips until removed. Unbolt any of the electric connections to the top panel and outlets. Pop the trim panel at the back of the console inwards to take out, then uncover the console rear mounting screws. Pop the console mounting bolt covers off to the right and left at the middle of the console to reveal the console mounting bolts. Pull off the connectors provided in the console and then withdraw the mounting bolts holding the console along with the console off the car. Besides removal, installation is its mirror image. Check that all the clips have been properly placed before you can put in the panel into its rightful position.
