Separate the cable from the grounding link of the battery. Start by emptying the cooling system, then take off the top radiator hose from the radiator. According to the car manufacturer, you need to take out both the radiator and fan assembly together on most 2015 and earlier Lexus models, but in reality, you can uninstall the fan itself by itself, leaving the radiator in place. For RX330 Lexuses, you first take off the air intake duct, the plastic cover over the radiator support, and the hood release lever. Pull out the six bolts holding up the radiator support and take it off. Remove all power links for both fan units, plus additional wiring harnesses from the fan shroud on Lexus RX330 vehicles. Unbolt the fan/shroud from radiator, take off all attached hoses and cables, and pull it upwards out of the car. Grasp the fan blades while you take off the nut holding the fan. Unbolt the fan motor from the shroud. Installation is the reverse of removal. Reattach the fan electronic control harnesses and any loose cooling connectors. Then tighten the radiator mounting bolts to their required torque and top up the coolant.

Remove the radiator and fan shroud as an assembly.
