Lexus 43340-29175 Front Lower Ball Joint Assembly, Left

1. Position the new balljoint on the steering knuckle and install the nut, but don't tighten it yet. 2. Attach the balljoint to the control arm and install the bolt and nuts, tightening them to the specified torque. 3. Tighten the balljoint stud nut to the specified torque and install a new cotter pin. If the cotter pin hole doesn't line up with the slots on the nut, tighten the nut until it does line up-do not loosen the nut to insert the cotter pin. 4. Install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque.

1. Remove the wheel speed sensor. 2. Separate the control arm from the balljoint. 3. Pull the outer end of the driveaxle from the steering knuckle and suspend the driveaxle with a piece of wire. 4. Remove the cotter pin from the balljoint stud and loosen the nut a few turns (but don't remove it yet). 5. Install a small puller to separate the balljoint from the steering knuckle and pop the balljoint stud loose. 6. Remove the nut and the balljoint.
