    Lubricate the inside and outside of the new bushings with vegetable oil to simplify reassembly. Caution: Do not use petroleum or mineral-based lubricants or brake fluid, as they will lead to deterioration of the bushings. The bushings are split for easy installation without having to slide them onto the ends of the stabilizer bar. Install the bushings with the slit facing towards the rear of the vehicle.
