Lexus 23221-62060 Fuel Pump

For 2007 RX 350 and all 2008 and later models, the components of the fuel pump assembly are modular and attached to the main housing. To remove the fuel level sending unit, disconnect the electrical connector and pry it from the clips. To remove the fuel pump, disconnect the electrical connector from the mounting flange, remove the spring E-clip, release the claw connectors from the sub-tank, separate the fuel suction support base, release the claw connectors and separate the fuel pump assembly, disconnect and remove the fuel pump electrical harness, and pull the fuel pump up and out from the filter assembly. Remove the O-ring and spacer from the fuel pump, and inspect the strainer for contamination.

Before installing the new fuel pump, a new O-ring should be placed onto the pump and the crankshaft should be rotated to the correct position.

If voltage is present at the fuel pump connector, the pump is defective. If there is no voltage, the PCM may be faulty.
