Halogen headlights consist of inner high-beam bulbs and outer low-beam bulbs, with the outer bulbs also illuminated when the high-beam bulbs are activated. To replace a low-beam bulb on a Lexus model, first disconnect the headlight harness connector from the short pigtail lead leading to the light bulb holder, then remove the rubber weather cover from the back of the headlight housing. Next, disconnect the electrical connector from the bulb holder assembly by depressing the release tab and pulling off the connector.
