The sensors in the U250E 5-speed transaxle (2009 and earlier four-cylinder models) consist of two-speed sensors- one for the turbine (input) shaft on the front of the transaxle, and one for the counter gear (output) shaft located on top of the transaxle. When replacing the sensors in the U250E 5-speed transaxle, begin by unplugging the electrical connector. The next step would be to unscrew the sensor. Lastly, replace the O-ring On the other hand, the U660E/U760E 6-speed transaxles (all other models) have one speed sensor, which is inside the transaxle on top of the valve body. To replace the sensor, have a transmission specialist replace it as it needs the removal of the transaxle fluid pan, filter, and valve body due to the sensitivity of the valve body.
